Robin Mcgregor

Robin McGregor is a director of Christie Griffith and a Chartered Accountant with a comprehensive background in Corporate Finance.  He trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) where he specialisied in corporate recovery and corporate finance.  In 1995 he joined the business banking team at the Clydesdale Bank as a Relationship Manager, responsible for portfolio of corporate customers.  In 1998 he joined the British Linen Bank and was involved in a number of listed transactions. In 1999 he was one of the MBO team that created British Linen Advisers and he took the lead in raising over £42million for PPL Therapeutics’ manufacturing facility. In 2000 he led the successful fundraising for Scottishmedicine, a medical services business and then joined the company as finance director.  In 2003 he negotiated the sale of those businesses to a venture capital house.  He joined Christie Griffith in 2004 and has worked extensively with early stage companies, particularly in renewable energy and engineering.  He was a member of the Marine Energy Group, part of the Scottish Government’s FREDS committee, that published the Marine Energy Roadmap in 2009.  Robin has also undertaken a wide range of business consultancy projects across different sectors from engine technologies to healthcare.

Robin is an accredited expert in business valuation by the Law Society of Scotland.  As such, he regularly provides business valuations in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts as well as for commercial purposes.
